"A Legacy Of Honor" - The Humans of India

“I am an army girl. My father is a Paratrooper and I look up to him. As a child I roamed around wearing his barrette .That was the best part of him being home .I have almost seen the entire country and changed over 10 Schools. Initially I did graduation from Shri Venkateswara college. I am a NCC cadet as well. I have been a part of the Republic Day Camp 2016 and Youth Exchange Programme Sri Lanka. I did Para jump with my father. It’s a memory to be cherished. It feels so great to be trained at the same place where your dad once got trained .I was excited as well as concerned. Excited because I had my father beside me. And concerned for his safety. I still remember we were in AN-32 at 1500 feet . Dad was standing in front of the door and I was behind him. My Ustad Warren Office looked at me and said ‘ You are going to make history today”. Your father is here . Make us proud. ‘ And the next moment I was in air. Absolutely blissful! I had a safe landing. I got up and looked for my father. And there he was smiling. I ran towards him and hugged him and tears rolled down my eyes .I was so happy he was safe. I couldn’t ask for more. And we walked down together laughing and giggling. I am grateful I made it.”
